New Art West Midlands.Worcester Museum and art gallery.

I have attended this exhibition in hopes to be amazed, and i was not.
Overall I think this was a rather strange experience.
I came to see it Abi Day’s work and was pleasantly surprised on how well her work fit in the space.
She presented 3 white carved sculptures with pink pigment on it.
The color of the room worked to well with it.
It was like a small pink spark in the room.
I was not sure why ave some of the paintings been hung so low and why in suck order.
As shown on image 5 2 paintings are hung n top of each other. The lighter one is on the top and the darker one at the bottom.
The painting underneath was very dark, the room was not lit well and it was not visible much.
I took a closer shot of it with a flash and was surprised to discover such a detailed painting.
Also the aluminium prints stood out. with it’s fineness and vibrance.
There was also a short film presented with multiple pairs of headphones.
This is the first time I sat through all of the film because i was interested in a subject.
I believe this is also due to the fact that it is also a museum.
Headphones within the context of an exhibition seems boring to me yet within a context of a museum I am more open towards is, i think this could be due to the social behavior norms.
Museums are attended in silence , yet at an exhibition it is not necessary to remain silent.
I enjoyed the works from the collection.
